Substitute Teachers:

Admissions Assistant (2020-21 Academic School Year)

The Admissions Assistant is a key member of the Admissions and Advancement team. Reporting to the Director of Admissions and Advancement, the Assistant provides day-to-day oversight of application review and operations, managing admissions inquiries from start to fruition. Meets with new families and executes campus tours.  Serves as a liaison with communications and marketing in conjunction with the Director, ensuring timely updating of admissions materials, the admissions website, admissions emails and other forms of communication.  Uses data-driven decision making to assist the Director in achieving the yearly enrollment goal.

Your daily activities will include the following:

  • Managing admissions inquiries by answering phone calls, emails, etc.
  • Booking and following up on appointments/tours
  • Reading and evaluating applications; following up with applicants/families who are missing information from their files.  Inputting data into admissions and enrollment systems from student application files.
  • Preparing brochures and other admissions and welcome packages and ensuring office is well stocked
  • Ensuring the application of student’s tests and proctoring them if needed
  • Conducting interviews and meetings with families and students and providing campus tours
  • Tracking and collecting inquiry data
  • Assisting the Admissions & Advancement team on different projects and initiatives as needed throughout the year
  • Participating in department initiatives and projects to meet the needs of the office, the division, and the school
  • Working with Communications and Marketing to ensure that admissions webpages and literature are engaging and up-to-date
  • Contributing to the office’s data compilation, analysis, and statistical reports as requested by Director

These are essential requirements

  • You are Bilingual English/Italian or alternatively you have a truly excellent knowledge of both written and verbal English and Italian
  • You have a very high degree of computer literacy: you are a regular proficient user of Microsoft Office suite (excel, word, power point), internet and other specific applications
  • You are a very detail-oriented person who exercises extreme attention to detail. You are thorough, accurate, organized, and productive. This is really a must because you will deal with a lot of data and information
  • You have excellent interpersonal skills: you need them to interact effectively with families and students, listen to their needs and establish empathic relationships
  • You are an enthusiastic team player who always gives positive and constructive contribution to complete tasks, meet goals and manage projects
  • You like to be busy and you don’t fear pressure…at certain times of the year the pace of the work becomes really demanding!

Significant plus

  • You have previous experience in the same role or other similar roles that allowed you to develop all the skills listed above
  • You have already worked with school admissions management systems and you can use Powerschool and OpenApply.
