Thanks to the guidance of Model UN directors, Mr. Briner and Mr. Reichlmayr, all the delegates were able to be active participants in many controversial debates, while eloquently expressing their points, and finding solutions to real world issues that challenge even the most experienced diplomats.
ASM boasts two in school Theater Companies that present Musical Productions for the school community twice a year, in March and May. The Senior production is comprised of Upper School students from grades 6-12 who have delighted the ASM community in the past years with productions like "The King and I", "Fiddler on the Roof" and "Pirates of Penzance".
The Junior production in May is made of students from grades 3-5 who join the Theater group as an afterschool activity in September and run rehearsals throughout the entire school year until opening night in May. They have brought to the ASM stage Broadway Productions like "Annie", "The Music Man", "The Wizard of Oz" and "Honk,Jr.!". The school also offers a Theater Arts program as part of the school curriculum where students are introduced to all aspects of the Performing Arts through a series of creative workshops. The classes showcase their class work in December for the school community and continue to act throughout the year in formal and informal presentations from elementary to High School classes.
