Founded in 1962, ASM has been educating international students from more than 50 countries for more than 50 years. The school’s mission is to provide a modern and rigorous education for international students to excel in the changing world of tomorrow. ASM offers a student-centered, American-style education that encourages children to develop their full potential, achieve personal excellence and become global citizens committed to lifelong learning. Our elementary school integrates tablets to prepare students for the 1:1 laptop program that begins in Grade 6. The school also offers 3D design, robotics, digital art and photography and film courses in our ultramodern film studio. There is wifi campus wide.
Set in 9 acres of green space, our modern campus boasts seven state-of-the-art science laboratories, two full-sized American gymnasia, two tennis courts, a soccer field, and a 27,000 volume library complete with e-books.
Currently school enrollment is 800 students and there are 83 full-time faculty employed. Our teachers are talented, highly educated, experienced and, above all, inspiring leaders. The school encourages faculty continued learning through a substantial professional growth fund.
ASM was authorized to offer the International Baccalaureate Diploma in 1983. Students are also awarded the American School High School Diploma upon graduation. ASM student IB results have consistently surpassed world averages in terms of pass rate and average points.
