The Advancement Officer supports the goals and strategies of the Advancement Team in the areas of Alumni relations, internal and external logistics, fundraising (including FFE/Gala), and in support of developing strategic partnerships which expand ASM’s community outreach and impact. This position sits within the broader Admissions & Advancement team, which supports prospective families throughout the admissions
journey as well, and also covers marketing and communications.
- Support the development and coordination of all fundraising initiatives including the ASM Gala or other community, fundraising and/or outreach.
- Management of Alumni Relations to include Alumni events, newsletters, ongoing
outreach and stewardship of potential alumni donors. - Provide guidance and support for school related events, which includes guidance
on internal logistics, and management of internal stakeholders; among these events
are PTO events Halloween and International Festival. - Maintain communications calendar for staff and department, including advertising
calendar and internal/external communications regarding invoicing. - Support with the development of all communications between and across
departments of the school. - Reception from 8:30-9:30
- Project Coordination: Support departments by managing the production, printing,
and distribution of organizational materials, program guides, and the Annual Report. - Brand Oversight: Ensure consistent visual identity across all platforms and manage
the annual update schedule for all physical and digital assets. - Workflow Management: Maintain master calendars and tracking systems to
monitor task progress, deadlines, and reporting. - Digital Engagement: Oversee online platforms and community outreach; manage
digital strategy and respond to stakeholder inquiries. - Content Production: Execute photography and videography where possible to
highlight institutional initiatives and mission-aligned programs. Collect and write
stories highlighting ASM’s value proposition and uniqueness. - Assist with additional projects, tasks and initiatives to support the Advancement
team’s objectives
Qualifications
- Native speaker of English preferred/ Italian necessary/additional languages benificial
- Experience and/or knowledge of K-12 International School Education (preferable
non-profit) - Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple
deadlines effectively. - Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a professional and
courteous demeanor. - Proficiency in Google Suite.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also capable of working
independently and with a growth mind set. - Attention to detail in all communications with potential families, and through data
tracking and record keeping, across both departments - Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and willingness to take on new challenges
as they arise. Proactive and innovative/problem finders who seek solutions. - Experience with database software such as Open Apply and/or PowerSchool.
