PowerSchool Parent Portal: Access Instructions #
Welcome to the American School of Milan’s PowerSchool Parent Portal. This platform is your central hub for monitoring your child’s academic progress, attendance, and school announcements.
1. Accessing the Web Portal #
To access the portal from a desktop or laptop browser:
- Navigate to the URL: https://asmilan.powerschool.com/
- Login: Enter your unique username and password.
- Language Selection: If necessary, you can select your preferred language at the bottom of the login screen.
2. New Parent Access & Credentials #
At the American School of Milan, we pre-configure parent accounts to make the onboarding process as seamless as possible.
- Automated Email: When your child’s enrollment is finalized, an automated email is sent to the address you provided during the application process. This email contains your system-generated Username and a temporary Password.
- First Login: Upon your first login, the system may prompt you to update your password to a secure, personal one.
- Missing Credentials: If you are a new parent and have not received this email, please check your “Spam” or “Junk” folders first.
- Resend Request: If you still cannot locate your credentials, please contact the school office or the IT department to have them resent to your registered email address.
3. PowerSchool Mobile App #
For access on the go, we recommend downloading the PowerSchool Mobile app available on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
Setup Steps: #
- Download the App: Search for “PowerSchool Mobile.”
- Enter District Code: When prompted, enter the ASM District Code:$$RLJC$$* Note: If you do not have the code, you can also find it on the bottom left corner of your web portal dashboard after logging in.
- Sign In: Use the same username and password you use for the web portal.
4. Troubleshooting & Support #
- Forgot Password? Click the “Forgot Username or Password?” link on the login page. An email will be sent to the address we have on file with reset instructions.
- Locked Account: For security, accounts are locked after several failed attempts. If this happens, please wait 30 minutes or contact the IT office.
- Data Discrepancies: If you notice incorrect attendance or grade data, please contact your child’s teacher or the divisional office directly.
