Mitali Perkins

We are thrilled to announce the upcoming four-day visit of Mitali Perkins, an acclaimed author of children’s and young adult literature. Mitali’s extensive body of work, ranging from picture books to novels, is celebrated for its powerful exploration of themes like crossing cultural borders and building community, directly aligning with our school’s mission.

During her residency, Mitali will engage with our community through tailored presentations and workshops to inspire creativity and critical thinking. She will share insights on integrating diverse literature into the classroom and discuss the power of storytelling in nurturing empathy and understanding.

This unique opportunity allows our community to connect with a distinguished author whose work has earned numerous accolades, including National Book Award nominations and recognition as “Best Books of the Year” by publications like Publishers Weekly and School Library Journal.
