At the American School of Milan (ASM), we take pride in fostering a strong sense of community, service, and school spirit. This January, we reflect on the heartwarming success of our Toys for Tots initiative, the exciting activities led by the Upper School Student Council (STUCO), and upcoming events that continue to make ASM a vibrant and inclusive place for students.
Toys for Tots: A Heartwarming Success
This past December, ASM continued its cherished partnership with the U.S. Marines and Toys for Tots, raising nearly €2,000 to bring joy to children in need during the holiday season. This annual tradition, initiated by student leader Lilly K. in 2022, has grown beyond toy collection—our students now take an active role in delivering joy personally.
Five ASM students had the honor of visiting Niguarda Hospital, where they connected with young patients, offering comfort and happiness. These moments of compassion have proven to be life-changing experiences, reinforcing the power of kindness and the importance of giving back.
We extend our gratitude to the U.S. Marines for their ongoing support and to our school community, whose generosity makes this initiative possible. The collaboration between ASM, Toys for Tots, and local hospitals is a testament to the positive impact we can achieve when we come together in service.
