Code Week
The Elementary School at the American School of Milan recently celebrated Computer Science Education Week with a series of engaging and innovative activities during the global Hour of Code initiative. This annual event, held in December to honor Grace Hopper—one of the pioneering figures in computer science—offered our students an exciting opportunity to dive into the world of coding.
Learning Through Exploration
Throughout the week, students explored coding in various creative ways. During science classes, they worked with platforms like Code.org and Kodable, learning fundamental computational thinking skills. These hands-on sessions encouraged students to tackle challenges, solve problems, and express their creativity through technology.
