Not a New Normal, but a Better Normal
We will be 100% on campus Day #1, and hope to have our students on campus for the full year. If, however, we are called upon to go back to online school, ASM teachers are experienced and prepared.
What parents have said about online learning at ASM:
“I’ve been so proud of how ASM dealt with this COVID 19 crisis immediately, so my children have had seamless learning until now.”
“Thanks to the proximity of all of us working from home, I was able to see that the quality of learning was the same level as in the classroom.”
“We greatly appreciate the efforts of the ASM in adjusting to this new situation and giving the children the stability and academic input that they require. At a time like this, we are proud to be a part of the ASM family.”
We will meet or exceed government requirements for a safe reopening of school.
For social distancing, this year, we will observe the 1m distance required between students as they sit in classes.
We will require masks for all students age 6 and up at all times while in the building (except when eating). This year, we will start off not requiring masks when outside.
We will take the temperature of all students before boarding the bus and ask all parents to take their kids’ temperatures before leaving home.
Hand hygiene will be a prominent feature of every student’s day, with frequent, required hand sanitizing and desking being cleaned (upper school) after each class.
We will continue to employ additional cleaners to attend to sanitizing duties on campus.
“We are committed to do all we can to keep our students and faculty safe”
