ASM Upper School hosted the first ever Mental Health Awareness Week during the last week of May.
It was a great success, with many students participating in various wellness activities. With May being Mental Health Awareness Month, it was a goal of the Upper School to open discussion on such an important topic that is often overlooked. Students learned the importance of having a healthy body and healthy mind through learning activities such as workshops on stress, anxiety, mindfulness, yoga, zumba, guided imagery, and other meditative practices. It is our hope that students continue to incorporate some of these self-care practices to create a balanced lifestyle.
