 The American School of Milan is an International Bacclaureate World School, teaching both the Middle Years Program (grades 6-10) and the IB Diploma (grades 11-12).

 

Middle States Accreditation

The American School of Milan completed a Self Study of all aspects of our school in 2010.   We followed a protocol and the standards put forth by Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools (MSA) , an organization that guides and oversees the process. A visiting team was sent to our school to review and critique our study. In all areas we met their criteria. We also gained a prestigious International Credential, a very special appointment awarded to exemplary international schools.
The objectives for teaching and learning were a large part of the study. These, and other areas of the accreditation self-study, are included in the ASM Strategic Plan.
We will continue to monitor our progress. In 2014 and again 2017 visiting members of Middle States will visit our school to give us feedback and guidance. Annually an update is sent to their offices as well.
