American School of Milan Admissions Process: Your Pathway to ASM

We hope that you will find our website useful in learning more about our school and that these admissions pages guide you through the application process. We are excited to help you as you complete your application.

Applications for the current year will be reviewed on a rolling basis if space is available in a requested grade. Students entering the Upper School during the school year will be assigned courses based on availability. Decisions are usually made within three weeks of an application being completed.

In the event of a grade level being full, ASM will maintain a wait pool.

Step 1

Start Application Form

Please note that you will be requested to create a login/password and that you will be asked for upload the following:
• Photo of your child (.jpeg)
• Photo page of your Child's Passport (.jpeg or .pdf)
OR
• Birth Certificate (.jpeg or .pdf)

Step 2

Required Documents

• 2.5 years of Academic Records
• A valid passport (Bio page scanned)
• Teacher Recommendation Form
• Principal/Counselor Form
• Childhood Immunisation
• Non-Refundable Application Fee

Step 3

Health Assessment Form

This form must be completed by a parent to identify allergies or dietary restrictions.

Step 4

Admissions Test

Upon receiving applications, students entering grades 4-12 will take Math and English entrance exams.
Applicants to grades 9-12 must interview with the Admissions Director.

Admissions Standards

The American School of Milan has a detailed application process to ensure that we are able to offer places to students who are likely to be successful in our highly rigorous academic program. Not all students are suited to this type of programming, and we take very seriously the happiness and well-being of our students as we want them to be successful in this type of learning environment.
